Healthcare Lighting® operates a world class development and manufacturing facility in Fairview, Pennsylvania. Our innovative designs, superior manufacturing capabilities and in-house electronics division allow us to design and manufacture lighting systems that transform the patient room into an environment that can aid in the healing process.
This unique healthcare focus has allowed us to become a development partner with many architects and engineers as they incorporate evidence-based design considerations in today's modern healthcare facilities. As of May 2011, we joined Acuity Brands to further our mission of providing the highest quality, best performing, fixtures available in the healthcare industry.
Healthcare Lighting's bed lights are designed to perform through decades of use in demanding healthcare environments and consider the following:
- To provide proper lighting (intensity and distribution) for medical staff procedures, patient tasks and guest comfort. Healthcare Lighting leads the industry in incorporating bed light features that enhance the comfort of the patient and effectiveness of caregivers.
- To be easily maintained. Healthcare Lighting's bed lights make changing ballasts and lamps an easy job.
- To be durable. Great effort has been taken to ensure a durable finish and rugged construction. Over bed lights are often in place for multiple decades. Materials and fixture construction are critical for longevity. At Healthcare Lighting, we manufacture our wall mounted bed lights using aluminum extrusions and castings while our ceiling mounted fixtures are fabricated from heavy gauge steel. Every fixture is 100% bench tested before it leaves our plant.
- To be versatile. Allowing the patient to have control over his or her environment is paramount for providing a healing environment. When the patient can control the lighting, the nursing staff can spend more time attending to critical needs. Healthcare Lighting accommodates both patient and caregiver needs by incorporating its exclusive low voltage controls into aesthetically pleasing, state-of-the-art bed lights.
